I hope they don't because earthworms aerate the soil and keep it fresh and clean, and these fertilizers are bad for the environment.

we absolutely should all stop driving our cars. or at least have stricter emission regulations. and yes, i do believe that chemical crap will kill the worms. they are extremely sensitive to stuff like that. cover your lawn with 1/4 compost and use milky spore for the grubs. you'll be all set. if you need to kill broadleaf weeds, use corn gluten. i don't THINK it works on crabgrass...i can't remember.
